Citizenship and Character Education
The CCE department aims to develop a Culture of Citizenship Education and Character Development by (1) removing all barriers to learning, (2) building strong sense of citizenship and sound character, and (3) setting clear education and career outcomes.

Key Programmes
Financial Assistance
- Identification of needy pupils through Needs Assessment Survey
- Provide Financial Assistance in the form of MOE FAS, SAC FAS, School Pocket Money or referrals to external agencies e.g. Exxon-Mobil and SouthWest CDC, Singapore Buddhist Lodge, etc.
- Identification of needy pupils by form teachers and assistance provided when needed
Learning/Physical Disabilities/Health Matters
- Identification of pupils with medical conditions from School Health Service records & survey
- Identification of pupils with medical conditions from teachers
- Support and follow-up action for pupils with special / medical needs (e.g. counselling, examination provision, assignment of buddy, etc)
- Annual Health Check
- Temperature taking exercise
At Risk pupils (with discipline issues)
- Collaboration with Discipline Department in identification and followup actions to guide these pupils
- Follow-up action (e.g. counselling, house visits, meet of parents, tailored programs, etc) by the counseling team
- Timeout Programs.
- Inhouse workshop for selected group of pupils (by Full Time School Counsellor, Learning Mentor and Teacher Counsellors).
- I CAN Program
Counselling of pupils
- Monitoring of pupils who are retained (counselling if necessary) by FTSC
- Building rapport , identifying needs, creating awareness on assistance available in school and referring for counseling/care through class contact time, meeting with class committee, etc.
- Counselling (includes feedback for stakeholders, referals if necessary)
- Mobilization of CARE officers during an emergency
