NPCC Day 2013
Dunearn Secondary School celebrated the annual National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) Day on 22nd May 2013. It is the day where all members of the Corps gather and commemorate the founding of NPCC.
Congratulations to our former Dunearnite, Mr Lim Zhi Feng, for his excellent performance in ITE!
Our former student, Mr Lim Zhi Feng, went on to pursue his post-secondary education at ITE College Central in 2011 for Nitec in Semiconductor Technology. He has graduated this year with excellent results, achieving the Outstanding Academic Award and Certificate of Merit Award.
We wish him all the best as he pursues a Diploma Course in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic.

111 Fine Art Pieces for Charity Fund-Raiser in Aid of Dunearn Secondary School’s Needy Students (资助德能贫困学生慈善义卖 111件美术作品)
A Charity Art Fund-Raiser, entitled “Sharing from the Heart” will be held from 23 to 27 May 2013 at the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Science Week in Dunearn
Around 25 secondary two students from the pioneer batch of Dunearn’s Science Ambassador Programme (SAP) organised this year’s Dunearn Science Week (Term 2 Week 5).

Dunearnite in the News!
Mr Lim Seng, an ex Dunearnite, innovator and entrepreneur, made headlines with plans to send the first Singaporean into space by 2015. Working with the Science Centre Board and Singapore Space and Technology Association, Lim Seng is working on a project to send a Singapore into space on National day 2015. This comes after the government set up an office for Space technology and Industry to research and develop space industry. A former government scholar, Lim Seng has worked in DSTA and the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company in various senior leadership roles.

Earth Hour 2013 with Hong Kah North Community Club
On 23 March 2013, 30 Dunearnites led by a group of Environment Champions volunteered to help out in the Earth Hour celebration at Hong Kah North Community Club.
