Type of Assistance For Whom? How Much? How to Apply? When to Apply?
MOE Financial Assistance Scheme

- Singapore Citizen
- Family income not exceeding
a) $1500 for families with 1 or 2 children
OR
b) $1800 for families with 3 or more children

 

 

 

 

 

- Full waiver of school fees
- Full waiver of standard miscellaneous fees
- Free textbooks
- 75% subsidy of national exam (100% subsidy for pupils under MCYS’ Public Assistance Scheme)

 

 

 

 

- Approach form teachers for forms
- Documents needed:
a) IC/Birth Certificate of parents/siblings
b) Proof of income of all working members in the family
c) Documentary proof of divorce, death, disability, etc
- Applications can be submitted to the HOD (PCCG).

 

- Jan 2011
- When there is a sudden change in family situation
- Nov 2011 for those applying for assistance in 2012

 

 

 

 

 

School Advisory Committee (SAC) Bursary

- Family income not exceeding
a) $1600 for families with 1 or 2 children
OR
b) $1900 for families with 3 or more children
- Pupils who are eligible for MOE financial assistance can also apply for the bursary

 

 

 

- Full waiver of school fees
- Full waiver of standard miscellaneous fees
- Free textbooks
- 100% subsidy of national exam

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Approach form teachers for forms
- Documents needed:
a) IC/Birth Certificate of parents/siblings
b) Proof of income of all working members in the family
c) Documentary proof of divorce, death, disability, etc
- Applications can be submitted to the HOD (PCCG).

 

- Jan 2011

School Pocket Money

- Pupils who are under a  financial assistance scheme
- Family income is not enough to provide for the pupil’s daily transport and food

 

$2 food/ stationary voucher/ day

 

 

 

 

- Approach form teachers for forms
- Applications can be submitted to the HOD (PCCG).

 

 

 

- When the pupil apply for MOE or SAC financial assistance is applied
- When there is a sudden change in family situation

Opportunity Fund

- Singapore Citizens
- Must be eligible and have applied for the MOE Financial Assistance

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Subsidy of 80% of the total cost of programmes in the following areas:
a) Purchase of PCs
b) Enrichment programmes relating to personal and social effectiveness
c) Study trips

 

 

- Approach form teacher or relevant teacher organizing  the activity

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Jan to Oct 2011
(depending on when the activity is conducted

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Compassion Fund

-                     Students who are Singaporeans or Permanent Residents
- Students or family members who are in any of the following crises:
-Death of a breadwinner
-Accidents
-Major illnesses

 

 

-Based on assessment through home visits by the Foundation

 

 

 

 

 

 

-Approach form teacher or HOD (PCCG).
